Situated next to the yaquina bay bridge, south beach state park begins in south newport and stretches several miles down the oregon coast. This historic park offers access to miles of broad, sandy ocean beach and trails for walking and bicycling. Lots of sites laid out in circles with a bath house in the center. Your best bet is a site on the perimeter. The showers are free. About as clean as any state park usually is, which is fair.
